About the Swing Package for ActionScript

SPAS 3.0 is a powerful, open source high-level API that allows you to easily build applications for mobile devices, as well as traditional applications for browser and desktop using the same programming model, tool, and codebase.

The main philosophy of SPAS 3.0 is to combine flexibility with simplicity. Extensive native components help speed development, while new sets of components are extremely easy to make.

Moreover, SPAS is particularly adapted for creating strong MVC structures, because it is based on classes instead of an XML design. The core design is based upon the OOP modular concept, for a better integration of complex applications.

Compatibility

SPAS 3.0 is a pure ActionScript 3 library. It means that it is compatible whith all the technologies of the Flash Platform:

• Flash CS4 and CS5,
• Flex 3,
• Flash Builder,
• AIR (iOS and Android),
• The Free Flex SDK.
